Marketplace Opportunity Creation Ideathon

Creating ideas that can generate jobs, livelihoods, sustainable opportunities, and hope in a rapidly changing marketplace.

Time 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Venue De Nobili Auditorium, Loyola College Campus, Nungambakkam, Chennai
Reporting time: Student teams should report at the venue before 10:00 AM.

Participation Guidelines

  • Each institution may nominate a maximum of 3 student teams.
  • Each team may have a maximum of 3 students.
  • Each team should present an original business idea or startup concept.
  • A faculty coordinator must be nominated as the primary contact.
  • English is preferred for presentations.

Registration Fee

  • ₹300 per student.
  • A faculty coordinator attending the event must also register at ₹300.
  • The fee includes event access, lunch, evening tea/snacks, sessions, and networking opportunities.
  • Registration will be confirmed only after payment verification by the Movement Team.

Register the Team

Complete this form, make the payment, and upload the payment screenshot.

Submit the Idea by 10 August 2026

Every registered team must email either a one-page idea summary or a 1-minute video. The submission email address will be communicated shortly.

Advance Panel Review

The submission will help the panel understand the idea in advance and identify any clarification required before the event. It is not an elimination round.

Morning Panel Presentation

All registered and eligible teams will be given an opportunity to present.

Final Presentation

Based on the panel evaluation, the top 3 or 4 teams will present before the final panel.

Recognition & Benefits

  • All participating teams will receive participation certificates.
  • Teams may receive different mementos or recognition based on the panel criteria.
  • Present ideas before experienced entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
  • Receive feedback and explore mentorship, internship, and business-support opportunities.

Final Opportunity

One selected team may receive a cash award or a seed-support opportunity to implement the idea, based on the final decision of the CTN panel.
